Migration is a topic that affects a substantial percentage of Myanmar’s population. It is estimated that over 13 million, or 25 per cent of people in Myanmar are migrants – having migrated either internally or abroad. Produced in partnership with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Myanmar Government’s Ministry of Labour, Immigration and Population (MOLIP), the IOM X Myanmar Campaign in 2018 encourages aspirant migrants to find reliable and safe migration information in order to better protect themselves against exploitation and human trafficking. This report can be used as inspiration to inform your own research or campaign to promote safe migration messages and to prevent exploitation and human trafficking.
