What is IOM X ?
IOM X is the International Organization for Migration (IOM)’s campaign to encourage safe migration and public action to stop exploitation and human trafficking. IOM X started, with the support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Regional Development Mission for Asia, as a four-year project out of the IOM Regional Office for Asia Pacific in October 2014.
What topics does IOM X address?
IOM X takes a sector-specific approach to address the issue of human trafficking and exploitation. Priority sectors addressed through IOM X campaign activities include trafficking in the fishing industry, exploitation of domestic workers, exploitation in manufacturing, forced marriage and trafficking for sexual exploitation.
