Child soldiers are children (under the age of 18) recruited to fight in conflicts, act as porters, couriers, spies, guards, suicide bombers or human shields for an armed group. Children who clean and cook or who are used for sexual exploitation in the conflict context are also considered child soldiers. This one-page fact sheet provides a quick overview on child soldiers and specific facts on the issue in Asia Pacific. Easily distributed digitally as a PDF or as a print-out, it can be used to educate audiences on human trafficking and exploitation. It can be translated into other languages by editing the Adobe Illustrator file.
