Description
This summary report explores the impact of Know Before You Go, an animation created by IOM X to help increase understanding in young aspirant migrant males how to migrate safely for work.
Between April and May 2016, IOM X conducted a knowledge, attitude and intended practice (KAP) study, measuring the impact of the animation on the target audience. The thirty survey respondents were men, aged 18-35, living in Svay Rieng, Cambodia, with an aspiration to migrate in the next 12 months.
The surveys assessed the impact of the video, as well as campaign execution and engagement. This summary report highlights the KAP shifts with regard to safe migration practices before and after watching Know Before You Go, as well as awareness levels of human trafficking, former exposure on labour exploitation, trusted sources of information and media consumption habits.
This report will benefit practitioners aiming to create materials, campaigns or interventions with young aspirant male migrants in rural Cambodia.
